Summary
Middleton Alexander “Spike’” Harris was the founder of Negro History Associates in 1964, an organization which collected and disseminated information about African Americans. Harris’ papers primarily consist of research files created by Harris and the Negro History Associates. documenting the contributions of blacks in the United States. Included in the files are research notes, clippings, and photocopies of orginal documents on a variety of topics, including scientists and inventors.
