Artist-designer-inventor Adam Harvey explores the aesthetics of privacy through clothing and accessories that block common surveillance technologies, including data mining, facial recognition, and thermal imaging. Created for the “fashionably paranoid market,” as Harvey quipped, his collection of “Stealth Wear” features anti-drone garments, while the “OFF Pocket” blocks all incoming and outgoing cellphone signals. Keep listening after the podcast for bonus audio with Harvey, discussing how he became interested in anti-surveillance items and what he thinks about spoofing.
