Summary

Correspondence, lectures, and writings; diary transcripts, radio messages, and news notes, relating to the Byrd Antarctic Expedition, 1933-1935, of which Waite was a member. Also includes memoranda on the development of radio relay communications system, U.S. expeditions to the Arctic and Antarctic in connection with radio wave propagation in the polar regions and development of radio-ice depth measurements, other U.S. Army Signal Corps operations in which Waite participated and patent papers (1943-1959).
