Summary
Ridley was born in Tasmania and emigrated to the United States in 1887. From 1903 to 1906, Ridley designed and built custom manufactured automobiles and fruit and vegetable dehydration plants. He was president of the Electric Motor Chair Company of San Francisco, and owner of the Speed Carburetor Company. Ridley’s materials include maps, newspaper clippings, photographs, negatives, licenses and patents to manufacture carburetors, clutches, and drying appraratuses.
