Summary

Horton’s papers inlcude correspondence, bills, accounts, contracts and other legal documents, inventories, reports, specifications, and drawings, American and foreign patents papers, and related items. Horton’s papers deal largely with patenting, manufacture, and sale of his inventions, which include a clapboard guage; reaper and binder; berry harvester; combined hammer; nail feeder; and basket-making machine. Horton’s activities as a patent attorney are also present in correspondence with upstate New York inventors.
