Kaye Hawkins is the Finance and Administration Officer for the Lemelson Center for the Study of Invention and Innovation at the Smithsonian’s National Museum of American History (NMAH). She manages the procurement, finance, budget, and travel functions for the Lemelson team and provides a broad range of coordination and management support for programming.
After serving four years in the US Navy, Kaye and her family relocated to Oahu, Hawaii, where she earned her BA in Business Administration from The University of Hawaii, West Oahu. Before onboarding at NMAH, Kaye was the Purchase Card Coordinator for Fairmont State University, and Budget Administrative Support Associate for the University of Kentucky.
When she’s not at her workstation, Kaye enjoys spending time with her husband and two children on their small farm. There is plenty to do and keep busy with horses, chickens, a cat, a dog, and a large garden.
