Summary

Letters, telegrams, financial documents, etc. pertaining to de la Garza's association with Pancho Villa and to the Mexican Revolution in northern Mexico. Materials relate to financial affairs of the Villa movement and to business affairs of L. de la Garza & Co., Inc. Financial documents such as transfers of funds, printing of currency, and payments for purchases illustrate the logistics of Villa's campaign through references to orders for and delivery of supplies, munitions, equipment, and by mentions of military operations and plans. Items concerning L. de la Garza & Co. reflect involvement in munitions. Primary correspondents are Pancho Villa, Felix A. Sommerfeld, and Raymundo E. Navarro; others include Servando C. de la Garza and José Garza Zertuche. Corporate entities include the Comisión de la Hacienda, Agencia Commercial y Financiera del Cuerpo de Ejercito del Norte, Banco del Estado de Chihuahua, Rio Grande Valley Bank and Trust Co., American Bank Note Company, Western Cartridge Company, J.P. Morgan & Co., and Manoil and Rhein. Correspondence relating to de la Garza's personal affairs and mining interests and documents relating to lawsuits involving Hipólito Villa, Alberto Madero, John E.
