Summary
The Martin Company was founded by aviation pioneer Glenn L. Martin during World War I. Martin was mainly a producer of military airplanes, but also built several commercial types, including the Model M130 Clipper. Martin was also a pioneer in nuclear power units for remote sites. The collection consists of negatives and photographs chronicling the history of the Martin Company. Subjects covered include: aircraft plants, historical themes, people, aircraft programs, structures and programs, people, research and development programs, manufacturing processes, space tools, nuclear power programs, missile programs, and photograph log books.
