Hansen was a professor of physics and director of the Stanford Microwave Laboratory. His papers include class notes taken at the University of Michigan, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and Stanford University, lecture notes, patents, unpublished studies and notes on various experiments, especially concerning radar technology, klystron development, radiation, and microwave mechanics.
