Summary
Cady graduated from Brown University (B.Ph., 1895) and the University of Berlin (Ph.D. Physics, 1900). From 1902-1946 he was a professor of physics at Brown. After retirement he did consulting work for industry and the federal government. Cady's principal interests included electrical discharges in gases, piezoelectricity, ultrasonics, piezoelectric resonators and oscillators, and crystal devices. Consists chiefly of Cady's research notebooks on various subjects in physics and a considerable technical reprint file; some records of Cady's consultant work and patents granted.
